Spiceworks. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be much appreciated. ![]() The PC's were originally running Windows 7, but are now running Windows 10 Pro 圆4 and the screens are also Dell models, but I can't quite remember which model right now, but very recent. But even stranger, there is someone who has the bigger type of 3010 who has had dual screen this way for ages and it hasn't been a problem. I don't get this, the fatter model of Optiplex 3010 won't work, but the thinner model of 3010 at the time will, I know because my PC at work at the thinner 3010. I read on a forum that SERR messaging might be the issue and to try and disable it in the BIOS. We rebooted it, but we wound up at square one again afterwards. However, on one of these we updated the driver by Windows Update and device manager showed two screens, but still no image. The screens we are using can also detect they have been plugged into something, but have no image to display. I have tried the obvious like different cables and different screens, but they are working. However, with just the VGA screen plugged in, we get the POST messages. Interestingly, with both plugged in, there will be no POST boot up screen on either monitor and an image only shows on the VGA screen when the Windows boot loader starts and you have the spinning circle and the Windows logo. ![]() Both will work individually, but when 2 are plugged in, only the VGA output will work. The PC'shave a VGA port as their main display and a HDMI port. ![]() However, it looks like they are not capable of this when they should be. Recently, it has been a requirement that some of these users with the recycled kit get dual screens. At work, we have a fair few Dell Optiplex 3010 desktop PC's which are recycled down to some departments after others get new ones. ![]()
